Where Should You Apply For Foreign Trademarks
And What Will It Cost?

You should apply for trademarks in your markets. If you are selling through a distributor in a country, you may want to be particularly careful to register in that country so that your distributor does not register your trademark there, giving the distributor the right to prevent you from using your mark in that country. Applying for trademark registration costs approximately $1,000 per country. We can provide specific costs per country upon request. Most countries require some use of the mark over a period of time in order to maintain the registration, so it does not make sense to register in countries in which you do not expect to sell your product for the next five years.
